If ever a kitten earned the name Firefighter, it’s this brave little gray boy. Found staggering in the parking lot of a fire station, he was clearly very sick and in desperate need of help.

At just over two months old, Firefighter weighed only a pound. When he arrived at the Klingenstein Veterinary Clinic at Lollypop Farm, the team discovered just how much he had been battling on his own. He was dehydrated, underweight, suffering from conjunctivitis, covered in fleas, and unable to eat because of painful ulcers in his mouth. To make matters worse, he even had a cuterebra (a type of parasite) in his neck, which was quickly removed.

Despite everything, this tiny fighter never gave up. With care, love, and careful monitoring by our veterinary team, Firefighter began to heal and grow stronger day by day.

He still needs a little more time before he’s ready to be neutered and adopted, but when the time comes, Firefighter will spark joy and light a fire in someone’s heart forever.
